  Canada	Ottawa, Canada --All flights suspended at Ottawa Airport On August 7, media sources are reporting that all flights have been suspended due to lightning at Ottawa International Airport (YOW). No information on the duration of the disruption has been initially reported.
  Brazil	Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil --Correios postal workers announce strike Local media sources reported on August 7 that postal workers with Correios in Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, have announced the start of a strike planned for August 8 over collective bargaining agreement and salary increases. No specific information on when the strike would end has immediately been reported.
  Japan	Japan-- Typhoon Shanshan approaches Japan On August 6, media sources are reporting that Typhoon Shanshan is approaching Japan in a northwesterly direction over the Pacific Ocean and is expected to bring heavy rain and high winds from August 8 to the Greater Tokyo area. Japan-- Shanshan to make landfall in Kamogawa On August 7, media sources indicated that Typhoon Shanshan is forecast to make landfall in Kamogawa, Japan on August 8-9. Advisories for storms, heavy rain and high waves have been issued for many parts of Chubu, Kanto and Tohoku regions, including Tokyo, Kawasaki and Yokohama. Tokyo, Japan-- Flights disrupted at Tokyo Airports Media sources are reporting on August 8 that at least 16 flights have been canceled and eight flights have been delayed at Narita International Airport (NRT), while more than 22 flights have been canceled and 14 flights have been delayed at Haneda Airport (HND) due to the approaching Typhoon Shanshan. Reports are unclear on when operations will normalize. Disruptions should be expected at least until August 10.
  China	Shanghai, China --Typhoon Jongdari makes landfall in Shanghai Media sources reported that Typhoon Jongdari made landfall along the Shanghai coastline on August 3, generating gale force winds and heavy downpours. As of August 6, approximately 151,400 people have been evacuated from high-risk areas, while 145 flights and 119 trains have been cancelled. The storm dissipated on August 5.
  Jamaica	Jamaica --IT issues cause postal disruptions Jamaica Post informed that it has been experiencing internet connectivity issues since August 2 at 05:00 local time, affecting its ability to perform the necessary IPS light scans and updates in processing inbound and outbound mail. No specific information on when the situation would return to normalcy has been reported. Jamaica --Postal services resume On August 7, Jamaica Post indicated that internet connectivity was restored as of August 3, enabling the resumption of IPS Light scans and updates to process inbound and outbound mail. No further disruptions are expected.
  Indonesia	Mataram, Indonesia --7.0 magnitude earthquake hits Mataram Media sources reported on August 5 that a 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit Mataram, Indonesia, resulting in 90 fatalities and over 200 injuries. As of August 6, 147 aftershocks with 13 additional earthquakes have been reported. Operations are continuing as normal at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali and Lombok International Airport following minor damage to the buildings. Indonesia --Earthquake causes postal disruptions PT Pos Indonesia informed on August 6 that as a result of the earthquake centered on Lombok Island on August 5, delays in the processing and delivery of mails, parcels and EMS are expected. Affected postcode areas include: Mataram: 83000–83365; Selong: 83600–83672 and Sumbawa Besar: 84300–84381.
