Enforced from April 1, 2026! New AMIF Policy for Amazon Brazil Takes Effect
Time: Mar 06,2026 Author: SFC Source: www.sendfromchina.com
Recently, Amazon Brazil has undergone a major policy adjustment: effective April 1, 2026, the Amazon Logistics Import Fee Management Service (AMIF) will be fully enforced. This means that all cross-border parcels sent to Brazil via the PRC small package self-delivery model must be delivered using the AMIF model.
This presents both a challenge and an excellent opportunity for numerous Chinese cross-border sellers to establish a presence in the Brazilian blue ocean market.
As the currently designated exclusive logistics carrier for the Amazon Brazil AMIF program, SFC (SFC Service) has launched the "SFC Amazon AMIF Exclusive Line." This provides sellers with a one-stop logistics solution for Brazilian self-delivery, completely resolving the complex tax and customs clearance issues in Brazil and helping you tap into the Latin American market with ease.
SFC: The Exclusive Designated Carrier for Amazon AMIF
As a cross-border logistics service enterprise under SFC Holdings (Stock Code: 301558), a company listed on the Shenzhen ChiNext Market, SFC (SFC Service) leverages its extensive experience in cross-border logistics gained from over a decade of deep involvement in the Latin American market. By establishing robust customs clearance capabilities and reliable delivery times, SFC has become the exclusive logistics carrier for the Amazon Brazil AMIF program.
This means that sellers using the self-delivery model on Amazon Brazil and participating in the AMIF program must choose SFC (SFC Service) as their logistics carrier. We will handle the entire process from direct shipping from China to Brazil, including parcel transportation, customs clearance, delivery, and final doorstep drop-off.
To fully support the implementation of the AMIF program, SFC has already launched the "SFC Amazon AMIF Exclusive Line." This service precisely addresses the core challenges faced by Chinese sellers. It is specifically designed for cross-border e-commerce small packages, accepting categories such as general goods, battery-operated items, and weakly magnetic products, while assisting with platform-managed import tariff processing.

SFC Amazon AMIF Battery-Powered Items (STAMIFTH)

Backend Configuration
From the Settings menu in Seller Central, select Shipping Settings.

In the main menu, hover over Inventory.
Select "Manage All Inventory".
Select all your ASINs to enroll them in the Amazon-Managed Import Fees program.
Click on Select Group Actions.

Choose a Carrier
For Amazon-Managed Import Fees shipments, only use Amazon-partnered carriers:
China to Brazil: SFC
USA to Brazil: Bringer
Bind ASINs
Sellers already enrolled in the Amazon-Managed Import Fees (AMIF) program must remove ICMS and Import Duties from the product price, filling in only the product price and shipping cost. In inventory management, select all ASINs to be enrolled in the AMIF program, and use the batch operation to change them to the newly created AMIF shipping template.
Contact Logistics
Amazon AMIF sellers must contact your SFC (SFC Service) account manager to complete system authorization and integration, ensuring that the package labels comply with PRC requirements.
Amazon Brazil AMIF Frequently Asked Questions Q&A
Are there any additional fees for enrolling in the Amazon AMIF program?
No. You do not need to pay any additional fees for the Amazon-Managed Import Fees program. Amazon will continue to collect import duties and taxes from buyers at checkout, and your existing fees will not change.
How does Amazon calculate and collect duties from buyers?
At checkout, Amazon follows the Remessa Conforme regulations to automatically calculate and collect duties based on the product price and shipping cost. Buyers view and pay the total amount at checkout, which includes the product price, shipping cost, taxes, and duties.
What happens if the actual duty amount differs from the estimated amount?
If the actual amount is lower, the buyer will receive a refund for the difference.
If the actual amount is higher, Amazon will cover the difference after reviewing the relevant amounts.
What happens if I do not want to use the designated carrier for the AMIF program?
If you do not select the partner carrier SFC (SFC Service), you will be unable to enroll in the Amazon-Managed Import Fees program.
What should be done if a buyer's parcel encounters issues at customs?
Amazon will work directly with the carrier SFC (SFC Service) to resolve any tax or duty issues causing parcel delays at customs. For all other customs delays, you can contact your carrier for assistance.
What are the advantages of the Amazon-Managed Import Fees program?
Hassle-Free Taxes, Zero Risk: Amazon is responsible for calculating, collecting, and paying import duties. If the actual duties are higher than the estimate, Amazon covers the excess cost, minimizing the seller's financial risk.
Accelerated Customs Clearance, Stable Delivery Times: Based on Brazil's PRC compliance program, parcels are pre-declared and receive priority processing by customs, eliminating delays and holdups.
Cost Optimization, Reduced Shipping Fees: The platform's commission calculation base no longer includes taxes, directly lowering seller operating costs. Furthermore, as the official exclusive logistics partner, SFC offers highly competitive shipping rates for the AMIF channel. Inquiries are welcome.
Store Protection, Enhanced Experience: Brazilian consumers see a clear and transparent total cost at Amazon checkout, which boosts their purchasing confidence and improves conversion rates and repeat purchases. SFC's end-to-end logistics monitoring ensures a satisfying shopping experience for consumers.
Starting April 1, 2026, this date marks not only a policy deadline for Amazon Brazil but also a new beginning for the Brazilian e-commerce market as it moves towards greater standardization and efficiency. Rather than navigating the complex maze of taxes and regulations, cross-border sellers can achieve easy compliance by leveraging the official exclusive channel.
Choosing the Amazon AMIF program means choosing certainty and growth. Register now to secure your place in the Brazilian blue ocean market!
