Notification for Tanzania latest customs clearance requirements

• Dear customer,

  Informed by Hong Kong DHL, Tanzania customs implement new customs clearance requirements as follows:

  1. All the items sent to Tanzania, no matter the receiver is the company or private person, the customs clearance material along with the cargo must indicate the recipient VAT number, foreign citizen non-Tanzania natives can use the passport to handle customs clearance formalities.

  2. The customs clearance invoice along with the cargo must be original, and content is clear and readable, do not accept the altered invoice content.
