1. Shortly before the start of the FIFA World Cup in Brazil, subway employees have suspended their strike in São Paulo for the moment. This would cause a new traffic chaos. Yesterday further subway strikes took place. Therewith the strikers overrode a court decision, which had declared the industrial action illegal only a few hours before. Meanwhile, torrential rain caused floodings in the south of Brazil. In the southern state of Paraná alone, houses of more than 55,000 people have been flooded. A state of emergency has been declared for 79 affected cities. In the state of Santa Carina 24 cities have been flooded, at least 16,000 people were affected. Please be prepared for possible traffic obstructions and delays in mail processing and delivery.
