  Macedonia’s capital Skopje was hit by a rainstorm and hail yesterday evening. The entire city was flooded within 15 minutes, the city's centre and Novo Lisice were hardest hit. The storm was followed by an earthquake of magnitude 3,7. Please be prepared for delays in mail processing and delivery.

  Poste Italiane announces that, new postcodes (Codici di AvviamentoPostaleor CAP) for 261 municipalities and districts have entered into force by 12 May 2014. Existing postcodes will remain valid for a further six months. The changes to postcodes aim to improve the automated handling of mail during the sorting and delivery phases. In addition, the new postcodes are linked to recent administrative changes that have led to the creation of 26 new municipalities in the provinces of Ancona, Arezzo, Avellino, Bergamo, Belluno, Bologna, Como, Ferrara, Florence, Lecco, Lucca, Mantua, Pisa, Parma, Pesaro-Urbino, Pavia, Rimini, Udine and Varese. Information about the new postcodes may be obtained from post offices, by calling the Poste Italiane Call Centre on freephone 803.160 (from Italy only) or by visiting http://www.poste.it/.
  
   
  Bosnia and Serbia
  
   
  At the weekend the situation in the flood areas of Bosnia and Serbia continued to stabilise. The levels of most of the rivers dwindled or stagnated. In most of the affected cities like Doboj, Maglaj und Samac cleanups and disinfection operations were in progress. In the village of Domaljevac with a population of 4.000 people the situation ist still particularly difficult. 95 percent of the houses are still flooded. Police closed two places in the Bijeljina region in north-eastern Bosnia. Tens of thousands of people are still in emergency shelters due to the floods. Please be prepared for further delays in mail processing and delivery.
