The Notification about
UPS Require Offering HS Code, Harmonised Commodity Code and Authorisation

• As advised by UPS, the maritime customs administration intensifies the management of exported and imported commodity samples and advertisement products, all the export and import customers(recipient or sender) should coordinate with UPS to finish packages' customs clearance according to the relevant customs regulation. To make your timely customs declaration, please fill in HS code accurately, offer UPS your(or qualified export and import agent) harmonised commodity code and authorisation whenever you consign. Authorisation should be filled in completely, seal the company's "orginal" and signature of legal person, and offer them when receiving. Meanwhile, please offer the copy of Letter of Attorney of you and your export and import agent for customs review.
  From 1 January 2011, all the UPS(CNUPS), if you can't offer authorisation, you can entrust qualified export and import agent to take over for you. UPS will charge you 8 yuan as appropriate.
